Java - GC Based Slowness Symptoms



Symptoms of Slowness in Java based application.

Below symptoms really a matter of concern if your application is behaving slow.
  1. Minor GC happening frequently and CPU utilisation is high : Please check your GC log and see if minor GC is taking considerable amount of time, then it's a matter of concern. This signifies your Eden space is getting full and while doing garbage collection most of the objects reference are still alive.
